Here at the shelter we love all cats, even the ones who may not particularly love us back. Most people are looking for the sweet, cuddly cat that loves to snuggle up on your lap for a quick cuddle session, but occasionally cats come in to the shelter who are a bit on the sassy side and not quite fond of human companionship.
These feisty felines may not be most people's ideal pet, but we are still dedicated to finding them a good home. More often than not, the best home for them is a barn. The barn cat program is a way to match up families who are looking for a working cat, a mouser if you will, with cats that are best suited for and happier living in an outdoor setting.
All families need to do is provide is a warm barn and some daily, yummy food and we'll provide an altered, vaccinated and ear-tipped cat for free. So if you are interested in getting a working cat of your own, stop by the shelter or call today at 608-752-5622.
