The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (formerly the Rock County Humane Society) is a private nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to provide shelter and humane care to lost and homeless pets, reunite lost pets with their families, promote positive pet adoptions and educate our community in order to inspire compassion and responsible pet guardianship.

Kitten Day Adoption Event
July 10th | 12pm-7pm | HSSW
July 10th is National Kitten Day & you know what that means – Adoption Event!!! For this adoption event, adult cat adoption fees will be lowered to just $10 and kitten adoption fees will be lowered to just $20. Side Note: Adult cats are 6m-6y & kittens are 2m-5m.

Summer Online Auction

Over the past few months, we’ve received a ton of really great donations! These donations are not necessarily things that we can use at HSSW to help care for our pets, but they are things that we can use in raffle baskets, silent auctions, or online auctions like this one! In this way, these items help us generate revenue that we can use to purchase items our pets need.

Donut Dash
August 1st | 8am | Skelly’s Farm Market
Join us for our 4th Annual Donut Dash at the beautiful Skelly’s Farm Market featuring a delicious 5k and 1-mile run/walk! On Saturday, August 1st starting at 8am, participants of all ages will have the opportunity to race/mosey through Skelly’s 6-acre sunflower field, scenic nearby roads, and strawberry beds, with an apple cider donut waiting at the finish line. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome! SIGN UP!
