At HSSW, we think it is important to keep an eye on our ‘shelter data’ – which includes how many pets are coming in to HSSW, how many are leaving, how are the coming, how are they leaving, etc. This helps us to identify trends at the shelter, make plans to respond to any recurring trends, and to proactively prepare for things that we know are likely to recur (such as preparing for more kittens at HSSW in the summer time).
