Our friends at U-Rock are putting on an Adoption Event for our dogs & cats in their quad and commons/gym on September 2nd from 3pm-6pm! There will be plenty of adoptable pets waiting to go home with you!!

September 12th | 3pm-6pm | HSSW Trails

Sips & Tails is a unique outdoor fundraiser that invites guests to enjoy a scenic wine and beer walk along our shelter’s natural trails while supporting our mission. This event offers a relaxed and engaging way to connect with the community, explore the outdoors, and meet some of our adoptable pets along the way.

Attendees will travel along our rustic trails, stopping at beverage stations featuring a selection of beer and wine. Along the route, guests can enjoy music, conversation, & special moments interacting with shelter animals. For the safety and comfort of all, we ask that no personal dogs attend, as shelter dogs will be present throughout the trails.

At the end of the route, participants will be able to choose which taste they enjoyed the most and receive a full pour of that beverage. Each participant will also receive a commemorative keepsake glass for use during the event and to take home. And we will have Bark-cuterie snack boxes available for you to enjoy (included with your ticket purchase!) while you sip on your favorite taste. We will also offer a Designated Driver option which will include non-alcoholic options at each station!

September 24th | 3pm-6pm | Family Services of Southern Wisconsin

Our friends at the GBCC are putting on a Non-Profit Engagement Fair and invited us to join in on the fun! Come on out for an engaging afternoon filled with the opportunity to connect local non-profits with the people who want to make a difference – like HSSW!

This expo will provide organizations with the opportunity to showcase their mission, share their impact, and engage directly with volunteers and future board members. It’s a chance to build meaningful connections, strengthen community involvement, and grow your organization’s reach.

Join us out at the Janesville Mounds to celebrate Neighborhood Pet Store Day – a day to celebrate the contributions of independent pet retailers to the communities they serve. Stop by to see us, learn more about HSSW, and meet some of our adoptable animals, too!
