Camp Counselor

The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (HSSW) is now hiring for our Camp Unleashed team! Camp Counselor is a limited-term/seasonal position at the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (HSSW). They are responsible for assisting the Community Outreach Coordinator with preparatory duties for Camp Unleashed such as planning activities, gathering supplies, etc. They are responsible for executing camp activities and ensuring the campers have a safe and educational experience. They are also responsible for assisting the Adoptions Team with adoptable pet photos and adoption bios as needed. They are also responsible for assisting the Marketing Team with marketing initiatives such as creating TikToks, Instagram stories, social media posts, etc. as needed.

Starting pay is $12.48 per hour and the position is a limited-term/seasonal position. This position will be scheduled 32 hours per week between the months of May – September. Minimum 16 yrs old. Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

The Veterinary Team of the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin is hiring! The CVTs at HSSW are part of a team of Veterinarians, CVTs, and Veterinary Assistants. The CVTs are responsible for assisting and supporting the Medical Director, Medical Staff and Staff Veterinarian in examining, handling, and treating patients.  Helps medicate & vaccinate animals as needed following set protocols of HSSW. Responsible for effectively communicating with HSSW staff, the general public and those directly related to HSSW to ensure proper health care to animals under the protection of the shelter.  Responsible for assisting in our wellness clinic, clinic & surgery cleaning, and assisting with surgery as needed. And any other need of the organization/Medical Director as needed.

This is a part-time OR full-time position. Must be certified at time of applying. Pay starting at $19 depending on experience. Shelter medicine experience highly preferred. Good attitude a must! Dog Care Assistant

The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (HSSW) is now hiring for our Dog Care team! Dog Care Assistants make up a team of dedicated individuals that work together to care for the pets of HSSW. They are responsible for ensuring proper cleaning protocols for all dog enclosures and for providing daily enrichment to shelter dogs.

Starting pay is $12.48/hour. We have one 18-hour/week part-time position open. Minimum 17 years old, flexible schedule, some weekends and holidays required.
