Health Services Technician 

Full-time | Starting wage $9/hr

The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin is seeking full-time applicants for our medical team! As a Health Services Technician, you would be responsible for providing high quality care to the animals in the shelter. Duties would include, but not be limited to processing all incoming animals, administering vaccines, giving medication to the animals, ensuring proper cleaning protocols for all kennel areas, and helping reunite families with lost pets.  This is a full-time position, flexibility required and must be open to work most Saturdays.  Click here for a full job description.

Handyman (Volunteer position)

Attention all animal lovers who have a knack for fixing things.  HSSW is looking for a handyman to help with various fix-it projects around the shelter.  This is a volunteer position requiring 5-10 hours per week onsite at the shelter.  Must be comfortable around animals and be available during daytime hours. Sample needs include minor building repairs, lightbulb replacement, paint touch up, parking lot cleanup, etc.  Must have ability to climb ladder.  If you enjoy helping animals and don’t mind being paid in “licks and tail wags”, we need you!   Please email Board@petsgohome.org or call the shelter’s main line for more information (608) 752-5622.
