A Small Donation Goes
a Long Way
The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin started with folks just like you who wanted to be the voice for animals in our community. You can choose your gift type and level—every gift makes a beautiful difference! As a non-profit with more than 50% of our funding coming from donations and grants, we thank you for helping us fulfill our mission: Helping pets go home again. We could not do it without you.

From socializing cats to walking dogs to helping at events to assisting in our surgery suite, there’s a little something for everyone!
Foster
Fostering is a loving way to help a shelter animal acclimate to a home setting before being adopted into a permanent home.
Events
HSSW puts on events of all types throughout each year – fundraisers, outreach events, community events, and more. See you there!
Featured Events
Adopt a Senior Pet Month
November 2nd – 30th | Regular Adoption Hours | HSSW
November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month! To celebrate, we’re lowering all senior dog adoption fees to $100. Our senior cat adoption fees are already WAIVED thanks to the Cat-R-Walkin’ Home Fund, so our senior cats adopted in November will go home with a special goody bag.
Adopters must still follow all normal adoption processes to adopt a pet and pay for any additional required purchases. If you’ve been thinking about adding to your family – now’s the time!
