Dog Surrender

The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin is non-profit, no-kill shelter. We are not always able to take in pet surrenders and we do require a pet surrender consultation prior to an owner leaving their pet with us. If you need to surrender your dog, please call the shelter at 608-752-5622 or email our Animal Services Supervisor, Melinda at mlindsey@petsgohome.org or our Animal Services Coordinator Shannon at siseppon@petsgohome.org

We do receive a high volume of surrender calls, so please allow 2-3 business days for a response. To help defray the costs we incur in caring for your pet, we do require a $50 cat surrender fee. The following forms of payment are acceptable – cash, debit, credit (no American Express).
